Born near Paris in 1967. Got started in the hobby at the age of 7 and never quit since. He discovered the aquascaping in its early days in 'Tropical Fish Hobbyist magazine', thanks to Takashi Amano's articles in the late 80's.
Philippe has been an IAPLC Judge from 2012 to 2020, as well as a judge for other aquascaping contests. He's currently the Chief Editor of the French magazine 'L'Aquarium à la maison'. He wrote numerous articles and books dedicated to the aquarium hobby. He's also very interested in the biotopes exploration where he can study the fishes (and sometimes the plants) in their habitat.
