Description
Red Red Wine is a wabi-kusa which takes on the form of a miniature pond. It was designed to bring heavy emphasis to the colour red and stay true to the aesthetic of pond life. As a result it features a mixture of classic emersed aquarium plants, floating plants and pond plants.
Although very small, effort was made to include as much detail as possible, from the plant choices to the mix of substrates.
The name 'Red Red Wine' is a comment on the way the red ludwigia 'spills' over the edge like wine, and an ode the classic Neil Diamond song.
It is the first thing I see when I wake up in the morning as it is next to my bed. It is truly very low maintenance and brings an immense amount of joy to my mornings and my life.
