Total Impression: 90%

A captivating zen-style aquascape that successfully utilizes a super-wide aquarium to evoke the sense of a shallow volcanic river. The design is visually striking and expertly balanced, offering a feast for the eyes and the soul.

Bonus Points for Plants: 50%

The plant selection complements the rocky terrain and enhances the serene atmosphere. Their well-maintained condition adds to the visual appeal.

Bonus Points for Photography: 50%

The photography effectively captures the aquascape's essence, particularly the surface reflection which adds another layer of visual interest. While good, there are areas for improvement to fully capitalize on the design's innate beauty.

Bonus Points for Artistic Creativity: 100%

The creative use of stone positioning breaks away from a strict symmetrical layout, adding depth and dynamism. The central cosmetic path, which bifurcates around the main topography, is a brilliant design choice that guides the viewer's gaze effectively.

Overall Comments:

Your entry is an exemplar of the zen-style aquascape, merging artistry with technical proficiency. The choice of a super-wide aquarium to emulate a shallow volcanic river is both innovative and effective, enlarging the perceived space and adding an extraordinary sense of depth.

The well-balanced stone arrangement deserves special mention. You've succeeded in selecting faces of each stone that showcase their unique textures and character, all while playing with light and shadow to highlight these features. This level of detail is what sets your design apart, inviting the viewer to not just look, but to explore and feel.

Your plant selection and maintenance are commendable. Healthy plants are the backbone of any successful aquascape, and your attention to this aspect serves as an educational benchmark for others.

The photography captures the serenity and visual allure of your design but leaves room for refinement, especially for the fine-tuning of the cosmetic sand by adding more volcanic accents to create stone slides. A more nuanced approach could bring out the rich textures and intricate details even further, offering an even more immersive experience for the viewer.

In summary, your aquascape offers a holistic educational experience for our community. It is a stellar example of what can be achieved when creativity meets expertise.

Congratulations on an outstanding job; your aquascape is a serene, visually compelling masterpiece that captivates and inspires. Well done!

The stones are good so that it look like a big tank.

I think there are many small fine details in this aquascape, but this tank could have benefited from better photography. If the background was brighter and perhaps a neutral white tone in this case, I think it would have shown off the aquascape better.

A pleasant shallow Iwagumi with an interesting unorthodox composition.
