Dave Chow – China

Aqua Art Hong Kong Ltd., Mr. Chow is 2007 Grand Prize Winner of International Aquatic Plant Layout Contest and is also the first Hong Kong people get this honor. From 2003 until now, he enter IAPLC year by year; not for getting prizes but for experience and support this “Living Art”. He introduce “NA concept” to Hong Kong through his company and bring positive influence to the traditional market. Mr. Chow will do his best to introduce this “Living Art” to the peoples of the world and believe that it will become a common art such as painting or sculpture in the future.
Filipe Oliveira – Portugal
He started in Aquarium hobby in 2000 and in 2005 Aquascaping. On the first year he studied a lot about plants. How to learn about their growth, contrast, colour and size. After mastering the basics, Filipe started to select what he liked the most. In 2006, he participated in AGA Contest for the first time and surprisingly won the first place and best of the show on Large Category and second place in Small Category. 2007 and 2009 again 1st place on AGA Contest in small Category. 2007 – 10th place on IAPLC – ADA Contest. Since 2011, instead of submitting his works to contests, he’s making part of numerous judges panels.
George Farmer – England

George got started in the hobby in 2003 when he bought his first aquarium. He discovered Amano’s work and quickly became obsessed with aquascaping, both the technical and creative aspects. Within a year or so he was moderating various Internet forums and started contributing regularly to Practical Fishkeeping magazine in 2006, as their planted tank and aquascaping expert. With the help of Tom Barr, he co-founded the UK Aquatic Plant Society in 2007 with Dan Crawford and Graeme Edwards. UKAPS now has an active forum of over 10,000 members and around 20 sponsors. He’s worked at various aquatic trade shows and set up display aquascapes, as well as given various public aquascaping demonstrations, talks and seminars. George has also judged various aquascaping contests (including the AGA in 2008) and regularly enters his own aquascapes into the IAPLC and AGA competitions. He left the Royal Air Force after a 14 year career as a Weapons Technician to work full-time in the aquatic industry. He’s currently self-employed but works regularly for Tropical Marine Centre, Tropica and Practical Fishkeeping.
Jörg Buhlmann – Germany
Born 1976, married, father of two children; Founder and CEO of E.A. european aquaristics GmbH, the official ADA distributor in Central Europe. Initiator and spokesman of the EAPLC and avid aquarist to since early childhood.
Jurijs Jutjajevs – Germany
Jurijs was born in Riga in 1987 and with 11 years he started the aquarium hobby. He teached himself aquascaping in the year 2008 and became part of the AquascapingWorld forum. Soon he started learning to shoot photos with DSLR and 2011 he became selfemployed. For many years Jurijs is very active on Social Media and is judging aquascaping contests around the world. Since 2012 Jurijs is self employed professional aquascaper and has published his first articles in the Aquaristik Fachmagazin followed by numerous workshops and trade show events. 2013 he organized the first GAPLC contest in order of ADA Germany. Next he participated in the Eheim Roadshow in more than 15 different cities all around Germany. 2014 Jurijs changed to Dähne Verlag and became a contributing author to the aquaristik and caridina Magazines. Same year he became co moderator of the ScapeFu Podcast and founder of Lernscapen.de Today Jurijs is responsible for Tropica Aquarium Plants Social Media channels, is the host of the My-Fish.org Podcast and is breaking new ground in Aquascaping on YouTube.
Oliver Knott – Germany

Profession Aquascaper, born. 1972 (Karlsruhe / Germany). 1988 he started his apprenticeship as retail dealer salesman in a pet shop. Meanwhile is he probably the best known professional aquascaper in Europe but also well known overseas for his unusual and sometimes risky aquascapers. Oliver is not only setting up and maintain display tanks, he is also providing consulting and staff courses to pet shops. You might also know him from one of his numerous live shows during national and international pet exhibitions.
Ralf Gerlach – Denmark

Born in Berlin 1980 and since 1990 living in Denmark. Studied one year in the United states and in United Kingdom, finished Business-Master in 2006. Involved into aquarium hobby since 6 years old and working for Tropica Aquarium Plants since 2007.

Left his successfull creative agency where he was a founder and worked as an art director to live only for his passion.
